About Us
In the fall of 2000 Brandon Kleyla (“Gods and Monsters,” “Children of the Corn IV”) and family decided to open Red Dot Film Studios, a fully functional movie production company.
Brandon and his sister Alexis started out their careers by acting in several tv shows and commercials such as “Gullah Gullah Island,” “All That,” “Caroline in the City,” “Ally McBeal,” “Holiday Inn Express,” “Got Milk?” and “Sun Drop” to name a few. They both were involved in “Children of the Corn IV” as well as other films.
Red Dot has released several shorts including “Pirates of the Caribbean: At Wit's End,” a hilarious spoof that takes place during the filming of “Dead Man's Chest,” as well as “Chick Flicks” and “Tech Support.” We have also worked on projects with our friends MXPX including the music video “Running Out of Time,” a special edition of their album “Secret Weapon,” and a new live concert dvd recently released entitled “MXPX: Triple Threat.” We are also involved with Mike Herrera’s new country band Tumbledown.
Recent Red Dot projects include “IndyFans and the Quest for Fortune and Glory” which is a documentary featuring Indiana Jones fans. We traveled the country talking to people about how and why Indiana Jones has affected them, what they think of the films and what's next for the Indiana Jones franchise. For the first time ever, you can purchase the newly released dvd online at BestBuy.com, Target.com, CircuitCity.com, NetFlix, BlockbusterVideo.com and HollywoodVideo.com.
Red Dot began production on their most recent short film entitled “Leaving.” The film will star Sam Cain, April Wahlin, and Brad Graiff. “Leaving” is the story of a happily married couple, but he suspects his wife of wanting him dead. Is it paranoia? Or is he right?
Red Dot Film Studios is Brandon Kleyla, Alexis Kleyla, Bill Kleyla, Kevin English, Karen Kleyla, and James Filsinger.
